In the spirit of creating opportunities for us to celebrate Pride throughout the year, WELCOME TO PINTS OF PRIDE! Since we all LOVE board games, let's get together and play some of the oldies as well as the new games everyone loves!

Since the 1st board game night was SO MUCH FUN, lets do it again so we can keep this party going!

Feel free to bring your own games. I will also supply a bunch and get some new ones.  Games with some physical activity seem to work extra well, so if you have Hungry Hungry Hippos, Operation, Chopsticks, etc. please bring.

$3 16oz pints and $7.50 Steins will be the special for the night. It's also half price entrees when you dine in.

If you're bringing a game, PLEASE make sure all of your pieces are in tact!

March with NOVA Pride in the 2016 Pride Parade in DC!

  • 1414-1498 22nd St NW Washington, DC, 20037 United States

NOVA Pride is a proud Pride Partner of Capital Pride, and will have a contingent in their 2016 Pride Parade on Saturday, June 11th!

Join NOVA Pride on the parade route, and walk with us to show the nation's capital your Northern Virginia PRIDE!. The theme for this year is Make Magic Happen - we encourage you to come in your most magical attire!

The annual Pride Parade steps off Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 4:30 pm, at 22nd & P Streets, NW, Washington, DC, travels 1.5 miles through Dupont Circle and 17th Street, passes by the Logan Circle neighborhood and ends along the revitalized 14th Street corridor at S Street!

With 150 parade contingents, it can take a while to get started - so we will be updating our Facebook, Meetup, and Website with final location and time details as they are confirmed! RSVP to stay in-the-know! All are welcome.

NOVA PRIDE STAGING:

In the past, our staging area has been on 22nd St. somewhere in between M and P ST NW (near Phase 1 of Dupont, formerly Apex), and we encourage you to come on by and meet up with us by 4:30 (more specific date TBD). NOVA Pride will be setting up/decorating our Jeep, so come find us! Our 2016 Mister and Miss NOVA Pride will be there to ride on our Jeep, and we will have water, sunscreen, music and smiling faces while we wait for our turn to start marching!

We will have SOME beads and printed materials to hand out to spectators along the route! If able, please bring beads to throw to the crowd along the parade route - and/or candy, so long as it is NOT chocolate (we don't want any doggies getting sick!), and isn't so hard it'll hurt the spectators. If you want to be REALLY AMAZING, buy a big set here to share with other walkers (the cheapest price we've found): http://bit.ly/1TUxonw.

A limited number of NOVA Pride T-shirts will be available to our walkers for $20 (cash, credit or check accepted). If you want to reserve a shirt, please email jess@novapride.org with your desired size (S, M, L, XL).

Parade officially kicks off at 4:30pm, and will end by 7:30pm.

PARADE ROUTE MAP: http://capitalpride.org/celebration-2016/parade-map/

WHAT TO BRING:

SUNSCREEN, WATER, COMFORTABLE SHOES - all extremely important. CHECK THE WEATHER, and plan appropriately as is comfortable to you. NOVA Pride will have some water and sunscreen available, as well.

An Act of Love" is an award-winning, inspiring documentary which tells the stories of the Rev. Frank Schaefer and other Methodist pastors those who have fought for LGBTQ inclusion in the United Methodist Church. Rev, Schaefer had his ministerial credentials revoked in December 2013 after officiating his son’s same-sex wedding. Schaefer’s story is presented in the context of the larger debate in the UMC over same-sex marriage and the ordination of gay and lesbian clergy.
