NOVA Pride is a proud partner of Capital Pride, and will have a contingent in the parade on Saturday, June 13th. Join NOVA Pride on the parade route, and walk with us to show DC your Northern Virginia PRIDE. The theme for this year is FLASHBACK - and we encourage you to come in decade-themed attire. Whatever decade you want - just own it!*
The annual Pride Parade steps off Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 4:30 pm, from 22nd & P Streets, NW, Washington, DC. It travels 1.5 miles through Dupont Circle and 17th Street, passes by the Logan Circle neighborhood and ends along the revitalized 14th Street corridor at S Street.
NOVA PRIDE STAGING:
Our staging area will be at 22nd St. from N ST NW (near Phase 1 of Dupont), and all walkers are requested to be in place no later than 4pm. NOVA Pride will be there setting up/decorating our Jeep no later than 3pm. 2015 Mr. and Miss NOVA Pride will be there to ride on our Jeep, and we will have waters, sunscreen, music and smiling faces while we wait our turn to start marching! We will be in a black Jeep, with at least one 6-8’ NOVA Pride banner – near AGLA and NOVA Salud, Inc. If able, please bring candy (not chocolate) to throw to the crowd along the parade route. We will also have printed materials to pass along! A limited number of NOVA Pride T-shirts will be available to our walkers for $20 (cash, credit or check accepted). If you want to reserve a shirt, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your desired size (S, M, L, XL).
Parade officially kicks off at 4:30pm, and will end by 7:30pm.

WHAT TO BRING:
SUNSCREEN, WATER, COMFORTABLE SHOES - all extremely important. CHECK THE WEATHER, and plan appropriately as is comfortable to you. NOVA Pride will have jugs (and some bottles) of water and sunscreen available, as well.
*It would be super cool to win either of these awards this year: The Nancy Sinatra Award for Best Marching Contingent, or The Dame Edna Award for Best Visiting Contingent (Best group from outside the DC Area)… just sayin’.
